Social Media Breakfast Chicago
is an event where moderators lead small-group discussions over
breakfast on a series of social media topics. While the moderator will
lead the discussion, the goal of breaking into small groups is to
encourage everyone to participate by debating, asking questions, and
contributing to the conversation. The event is open to anyone hoping to gain a better
understanding of social media. This event is a series of hands-on workshops. While laptops aren't required, they're very strongly encouraged. Workshops: Taking Over the World with Wordpress Are you using Wordpress? Should you be? Wordpress is already dominating the blogging market, and is quickly becoming the platform of choice for small businesses, non-profits, and entrepreneurs everywhere. With a simple Content Management system, wide range of customization, and great SEO benefits, the masses are climbing aboard the Wordpress bandwagon. Our discussion will focus on the pros (and cons) of using Wordpress for your business website or blog and the floor will be open to address your questions and suggestions. From Monologue to Dialogue: How to Integrate Social into Your Organization's Website The days of website-as-brochure are over. When visitors seek you out on the web, they expect your site to be integrated with social channels and vice versa, so that they can engage with you on their terms. The ITA is in the midst of significantly upgrading the ITA website with the kind of social media functionality that will create exactly this kind of experience. He'll share lessons learned along the way, and lead attendees through a hands-on session that will help them create a similar experience for their own organization's site. I Bought a Flip Cam - Now How Do I Use it for My Business? You bought a web video camera
(like a Flip or the Kodak Zi8) and you're wondering what's next. In this
session, we'll explore the basics of these cameras and how to shoot quality web
video. We'll discuss the many ways you can use web video for your business
to attract customers, increase sales, and add personality to your company.
